About Us

Spectrum Community Development Corporation (SCDC) is a non-profit, tax-exempt community development corporation registered with the Mississippi Secretary of State; however, it has no geographic boundaries.

Mission. The mission of SCDC is to assist communities to become more self-sufficient through four main programs: education, business development, health & wellness, and housing.

Current activities include implementation of a Rural Housing Preservation project in rural Mississippi.

The board authorized Sandra M. Edwards to speak on behalf of the organization. One of the first initiatives Ms. Edwards implemented after reorganization was development of the Community Advocacy Network in 2016 to support the mission, programs and projects of the organization.
